2009 Depth Chart Released

1–2 minutes

The jury is out. Pete Carroll announced today his depth chart going into the huddle. Of course in traditional Carroll fashion, the competition for starting positions will continue throughout Summer workouts. But the Spring depth charts typically hold strong resemblance to the final list, come start of the football season.

Follow the jump for the complete list.

So while we might get a taste of Curtis McNeal this season, it looks like we might not see freshman WR Brice Butler play a role for the next 1-2 years (depending on when Damian Williams and Ronald Johnson go Pro). Allen Bradford is again the fourth spot at TB, which unless there’s injuries above, we might not see much of him again. At strong safety Will Harris and Josh Pinkard should provide each other some strong competition, provided both can manage to stay healthy. The Armond Armstead experiment seemed to satisfy Carroll, who moved the defensive tackle to defensive end, and has named him as starter at that position.

Two positions likely to see some last minute changes are kicker and punter when battle tested, Junior-college transfer Jake Harfman arrives from Mt. San Antonio College to challenge for the starting spots.

Here’s a copy of the chart, as posted by the LA Times.
