Lou Holtz May Run for Congress: Because at 72, the man wants to do something more rewarding with his life than be an ESPN analyst. “[Holtz] met with top Republicans [in DC] last week and said he was interested in challenging first-term U.S. Rep. Suzanne Kosmas, D-New Smyrna Beach, according to four GOP officials who did not speak on-the-record because they don’t know if Holtz actually will run.” Holtz, who gave $2,300 to Hilary Clinton’s campaign last year, will have to nimbly talk his way out of last year’s Hitler gaffe, which is sure to be brought up around election time, should he decide to run. Who’s going to get the ESPN college football analyst job if Holtz leaves? Somewhere, Trev Alberts is polishing his resume. [Orlando Sentinel]
