When the USC football team filed into their team meeting they were met by an NCAA rep with an important announcement: a new fungus has been found in locker rooms across the country; the fungus has the ability to damage bone mass. The team was instructed that they would need to wear protective knee-high boots in the shower from now on.

But the announcement was just another page in the book of Pete Carroll pranks. The man making the announcement was none other than Bill Withers, songwriter of the team’s latest favorite tune, ‘Lean on Me.’
