Coach Pete Carroll announced on Wednesday that Matt Barkley will start at QB vs. Washington State. Barkley took mostly all of the reps with the first-team offense. Coach Carroll said after practice:

“He’s our starter, and he’s ready to play, and hopefully with the next couple of days and more rest he’ll feel good. He’s OK now. He’s not quite back yet, but he’s able to function and play.”

Another player running around and making plays yesterday was All-American Taylor Mays. Mays is close to getting back on the field.
