This South Park contest that invites you to “Become a Citizen” (enter for a chance to be immortalized in the opening credits by spotting the hidden alien in each episode and reporting your findings on southparkstudios.com) is all kinds of brilliant.

Not that a contest like this hasn’t been done before; but integrating it into a very well-executed web presence makes it all the sweeter.  Really love what they’re doing with South Park in the digital space.  Not a surprise, considering the deal Trey Parker and Matt Stone signed with Comedy Central, giving them half the revenues from the web.  As anybody who watches the show can tell you, Trey & Matt are smart dudes.
