I’ve linked to Alex Cornell’s work before, most recently his Wes Anderson Film Festival design project.

His latest class assignment was reinvigorating a brand that is “dead, dying or defunct.” He decided to take on Playboy. His goal: “bring some of the original classiness and sophistication back.”

The description of his process alone makes it worth a read for any amateur or professional designer. But I also quite fancy the finished product, however unrealistic it might be.

(Don’t worry – despite the rebranding subject, this article is 100% safe-for-work.)
