Coachella 2010. I am assuming the ???? next to Thom Yorke’s name is alluding to special guests who may or may not include Nigel Godrich and/or Flea. Coupled with Pavement, and then the supporting cast of Phoenix, Spoon, Sly and the Family Stone, De La Soul, Yo La Tengo, et al makes me want to teleport to Indio on Sunday, April 18. And yes, Friday sounds cool too with your Jay-Z and Vultures and Vampire Weekend and Avett Brothers and so on. I just don’t know if I’d burn teleporter gas on that too.

Congrats to Goldenvoice on at least trying to step up to Bonnaroo’s level.  Of course, I’m sure the ‘roo will announce their lineup shortly and it will include all the best bits of this slate AND some ridiculous “how did they pull that off?” coup that changes the game and yet again leaves Coachella looking like the cute girl with way too much makeup at the party.

But hey, nothing lasts forever, right? So enjoy the splendor of that internet buzz while you can.
