• Starred at defensive lineman as a senior in 2009, when he won honors such as Parade All-American, Under Armour All-American, Super Prep All-American, Prep Star All-American, Super Prep Elite 50, Prep Star Dream Team, Super Prep All-Farwest, Prep Star All-West, Long Beach Press-Telegram Best in the West first team,  Tacoma News Tribune Western 100, Max Preps All-State Division I first team, Inland Valley Daily Bulletin All-Inland Valley first team and All-Mt. Baldy League
• Had 91 tackles with 15 sacks in 2009
• As a junior in 2008, made Inland Valley Daily Bulletin All-Inland Valley second team and All-League
• Had 90 tackles (with 5 sacks), 2 forced fumbles and 1 fumble recovery in 2008
