Only an idiot, who lacks common sense, offers a college football scholarship to a 13 year old. You put undue pressure on the kid, his school and other kids that may be playing at his school. What if there is another 7th grade QB at this kids school who wants a chance to compete against this kid? What if this kid stops developing?

When college coaches do stuff like this it just contributes to the year round overload on youth sports. Let these kids be kids and grow up. You can sign the kid to a scholarchip when he is a senior in high school.

We are living in an era where people in positions of influence, like college football coaches, have their heads stuck where the sun does not shine.
