Speaking of Provence, have you seen the No Reservations where he goes and makes ratatouille and gets clowned by all the natives? It’s great because they are just so unapologetic in delivering their reviews to his face (and his cameraman), saying things like: “this is a very handsome ratatouille” and “this is nice, but it is not ratatouille. It just isn’t.” And to his credit, Bourdain takes it like a champ.
