The first-ever Thursday edition of the NFL Draft went down, and the first five went exactly as ESPN draft guru Mel Kiper, Jr. predicted:
- Rams – Sam Bradford, QB, Oklahoma
- Lions – Ndamukong Suh, DT, Nebraska
- Bucs – Gerald McCoy, DT, Oklahoma
- Redskins – Trent Williams, T, Oklahoma
- Chiefs – Eric Berry, S, Tennessee
I don’t know what makes me sicker – the thought of three Bob Stoops products in the top 5, or the thought of anybody who could not drafting Ndamukong Suh. The guy will be an All-Pro out of the gate, while Sam Bradford? C’mon. You’re passing up a future Hall of Famer for, at best, Carson Palmer. Good luck with that, Rams.
I guess the real question is, how will the Lions manage to screw it up?
