Asics unveils running shoe for women that adjusts according to the time of the month
Asics has unveiled their latest running innovation, the Gel Kayano 16. It adjusts arch support based on hormone levels, which apparently contribute to fluctuations in a woman’s foot arch. From The Daily Mail:
…Asics’ scientists created trainers with three layers of cushioning below the arch. Closest to the foot is a layer of foam, followed by an air-filled gap and a plastic block.
When the woman’s arch is low, the foam is compressed into the gap and when her arch is high the foam fills out, ensuring her feet are supported whatever the time of the month.
Is it just me, or do you really want to hear more about this product from Pete Twinkle and Greg Stink?
