For the third consecutive AVP beach volleyball tournament, former Trojan All-Americans April Ross and Jennifer Kessy came out victorious.

On Sunday (June 27), top-seeded Ross/Kessy defeated Rachel Scott and Elaine Youngs, 21-16, 21-13, in the final of the AVP Belmar Open.  It was the pair’s third tournament win in June, coming on the heels of victories at Huntington Beach and last weekend at Virginia Beach. 

Ross/Kessy also have FIVB tourney wins in Shanghai and Rome this year to earn a No. 1 world ranking.

Ross and Kessy next travel to Stavanger, Norway, for an FIVB competition this weekend (they’ve won there in 2007 and 2009) and then will compete in the AVP Hermosa Beach Open on July 16-18.
