The Baseball Hall of Fame Moves Into The Steroid Era

The 2011 Hall of Fame will begin moving us deep into the eligibility of many steroid era players. Will the Hall take PEDs into account? If they do, how will they judge, since the league didn’t test until just the last few years? Jon Bois plays judge, jury and executioner.

Who does/doesn’t get into the Hall of Fame from baseball’s Juiced era will be fascinating exercise that I’m sure somebody will turn into a hilarious film or mini-series: retired players trying to rev up the P.R. machine–years after their greatest/only gift is gone–to tell unprovable stories about their ‘clean’ accomplishments in the face of mindless double-standards from one of professional sports most mercurial voting bodies. Absurdity ahoy!

(Pictured above: the jerseys tell me it’s Jeff Bagwell; in my heart I’m fairly confident that’s a member of Nickelback.)
