{BFL 2010} Week 5: When the Wheels Start Coming Off
When last we talked about the Blogger Fantasy League, our protagonist’s team (Febreze Freshness) was rolling over some of the league’s best teams and looking like a dark horse contender, riding the shoulders of Matt Schaub.
Flash-forward a couple weeks, and the steamroller is looking more like a jalopy. Whatever the team was doing to live up to its sponsor/namesake in the earlier contests has devolved to a significant not-so-fresh feeling that serves as a stinky reminder of some incredibly poor decisions in the rearview. I don’t want to go into specifics, unless doing so might help somebody catch the guy who assaulted me in an alleyway, using weapons like Hakeem Nicks and the Eagles D to overpower a non-existent offensive attack.
To find out more about Week 5, I strongly encourage you to read Brian Bassett’s well-written and entertaining rundown of the entire league’s action, and don’t even think of looking at my team’s final box score.
