Apple’s $4 million renovation of Chicago’s North/Clybourn subway station is both:
- Pretty awesome (make sure you check out the before shot).
- A testament to how much those stores must make, to motivate them to invest that much in fixing up a subway station near a new Apple Store opening. All hail Steve Jobs’ Shiny Metal Money-Printing Machines.
I gather, from the implication in Good Magazine’s headline, that the suggestion to rename this the Apple Red Line stop somehow tarnishes the whole thing. If you ask me, I’d go ahead and rename entire cities (Apple Buffalo, Apple Baltimore) if Jobs wants to give them a good Apple polish.
Say what you will, it’s a much more sensible strategy than yet another QE.
