Freshman point guard Maurice Jones scored 29 points and had 5 assists last night as the Trojans defeated the Broncos 86 – 73 at the Galen Center. Head coach Kevin O’Neill said after the game that Jones is “impossible to guard one-on-one.”

Alex Stephenson played all 40 minutes of last nights game with a broken hand. He finished the game with only six points and seven rebounds but did the little things like setting screens on offense and protecting the rim on defense. Stephenson’s hand should be fully healed in three weeks.

Nikola Vucevic had a double-double with 22 points and 11 rebounds. Jones, Stephenson and Vucevic played all 40 minutes of the game.

The Trojans are off to a 2-0 start. Their next game is against RIDER at home on Wednesday November 17th.
