The USC men’s basketball team (9-6, 1-1) will be going for their 4th straight win against the hated Bruins (9-5, 1-1) this Sunday night at the Galen Center. USC got some good news this week. The cast is finally off Alex Stepheson’s left hand. The 6-foot-10 senior broke his hand in the first game of the year but has managed to play through the pain averaging 10 points, 8.7 boards and 33.8 minutes per game.

Coach Kevin O’Neill said of Stepheson’s injury:

“He could have easily sat out for four weeks, five weeks. He insisted on playing. He wanted to play right from the beginning. So I have nothing but admiration for what he’s done. To play this many games and this many minutes with a broken hand, it’s pretty damn good.”
