USC needs help on the offensive line and they just landed a big recruit. 6’4 285 lb. offensive guard Cyrus Hobbis has committed to USC. Hobbis is ranked 34th on the ESPNU 150. He is considered by many the best offensive guard prospect in the country and should get an opportunity to start immediately for the Trojans.
Hobbi said of his decision:
“It’s awesome to know that I can go to a place like USC where they are short on linemen, especially guard. They have not had depth issues there like in 10 years but now, because of the sanctions, I will have a great opportunity to play early. I will work my butt off and I want to get up there and help them out as best I can.”
“The tradition there is huge, both academically and as a football program. I mean it’s such a great private school. A degree from there is huge and life after football will be awesome because of that. To have that opportunity, to play at USC and get my education there is just amazing to me. Plus, it’s close to home and that means a lot to all my family and friends.”
