USC’s junior forward Nikola Vucevic was named Pac-10 Men’s Basketball Player of the Week (Feb. 21 – 27). Vucevic helped lead the Trojans to a sweep over the Arizona schools. Vucevic scored 25 points and had 12 boards in a 65-57 upset win over 10th ranked Arizona last Thursday. On Saturday Vucevic scored 20 points and had 10 rebounds in a 62-46 ass kicking of Arizona State.
For the year Vucevic has 18 double doubles. This is his first Pac-10 player of the week award. The only other Trojan to win the award this season was Jio Fontan in late December. The Trojans wrap up their regular season on the road with contests against Washington State Thursday night at 7 pm and then Washington on Saturday at 7:30 pm (PT).
