USC beat CAL 70 – 56 to advance to the semifinals of the PAC-10 tournament. Maurice Jones scored 16 points off the bench and Alex Stepheson had 14 points and 16 rebounds.

Donte Smith also hit 4 of 6 three pointers and finished the game with 14 points. With Nikola Vucevic in foul trouble for most of the game, Marcus Simmons covered CAL’s best player Harper Kamp and held him to 6 points. The Trojans will face the winner of the Arizona vs. Oregon State game Friday night at 6 pm at the Staples Center.
