With only two scholarship receivers suited up for practice on Saturday De’Von Flournoy and Victor Blackwell got a ton of opportunities to show their skills. Redshirt junior Flournoy had the all-around better but Max Wittek feels really comfortable throwing to his former high school teammate.

Marqise Lee and Tony Burnett were unable to participate at practice because of NCAA rules. They participated in the Trojan Invitational track meet earlier in the day. Nickell Robey skipped the track meet to work on special teams.

George Uko had another great practice. The redshirt sophomore has impressed the coaches all week.

The Tre Madden experiment continues. He will stay at running back for the remainder of the spring.

Tight ends Xavier Grimble (toe) and Randall Telfer (hamstring), quarterback Jesse Scroggins (hip), running back Buck Allen (hamstring), center Khaled Holmes (calf) and receiver George Farmer (hamstring) missed practice. Linebacker Dion Bailey (hamstring) was limited. Fullback Soma Vainuku left practice early with a back injury.
