Jen Kessy and April Ross defeated the Czech Republic’s Kristyna Kolocova and Marketa Slukova, in two sets (25-23, 21-18) to advance to the semifinals of the women’s beach volleyball tournament.

Their next match is on Tuesday against reigning world champs Juliana Felisberta Silva and Larissa Franca of Brazil.
