Make that nine in a row. USC beat Cal for the ninth consecutive year with a 27-9 victory.

The defense had arguably its best performance of the season, allowing no touchdowns and too many sacks to count, led by the Second Coming of Clay Matthews, Morgan Breslin.

Khaled Holmes is making a statement for being the offensive MVP because Matt Barkley was protected very well yesterday afternoon. To say it was a rough last week for Barkley and the offense without Holmes would be an understatement. Khaled Holmes is central to the offense’s success. The bye week can’t come at a better time because Holmes needs time to recover on what could be an aggravated ankle injury.

It was a quiet game for the receivers, but what was a quiet game for the receivers was a very noisy game for Silas Redd and Curtis McNeal, collectively putting up 273 yards on the ground.

Enjoy the highlights.
