The Los Angeles Clippers acquired shooting guard Nick Young from the Washington Wizards as part of a three team deal. Young is averaging 16.6 points per game this season and should give the Clips needed help with their three point shooting.

The NY Jets ended all speculation that Peyton Manning would be joining the team by announcing a three year contract extension for Mark Sanchez.

Adam Schefter is reporting that the Houston Texans released former Heisman Trophy winning QB Matt Leinart. Leinart finished 2011 10 of 13 for 57 yards and one TD. Leinart was the 10th pick in the 2006 draft. For his career he has thrown for 3,950 yards and 15 TDs.
