USC wide receiver Travon Patterson is on crutches after injuring his toe in practice. Patterson said he is day-to-day but thinks he will be out a couple days. That would rule him out of Sunday’s scrimmage at the Coliseum if he does not recover.

Freshman from Anaheim Servite looks polished already, but older teammates are still tutoring him.
