A lot of discussion centered around Joe McKnight, Allen Bradford and Stafon Johnson following Monday’s practice, but tailback Emmanuel Moody also made some sharp runs and did not appear hindered by his sore hamstring. Moody also brought back some of the zip and breakaway aspects missing so often.

USC’s morning walk-throughs do not use balls but they are so physical some players complained about it afterward. “It might as well be a regular practice,” one said. That’s a trademark of the Pete Carroll era and sometimes it leads to injuries but it’s one reason players often say games are easier than practices.
