Max Power here kids….I am going to try my best to liveblog consistently through today’s big crosstown rivalry game, both here at over at Fanblogs….but don’t hold it against me if I get too worked up and can’t keep posting.

1:30pm….let’s start this already.

1:32pm….is there anything better than the sound of Keith Jackson’s voice on a Saturday late in the year?

1:36pm….ahh, finally a kickoff!

1:38pm….look at Norm, trying to start the game with a trick play.  The ghost of Bob Toledo must be smiling.

1:39pm….he could go all the way….oh man, how about that block by Dwayne Jarrett at the end of Reggie Bush’s run?  Oh mama!

1:41pm….normally I’d get down on an excessive celebration penalty, but considering I just spiked my Silver Bullet and danced around the room, who am I

to critique?

1:45pm….wow, 3 and out after that opening drive/play?  Trojans haven’t come out of the gate like this all season.

1:57pm….for those unfamiliar with SC football, say hello to Ryan Killeen, the greatest thrill ride in Southern California.

2:02pm….something tells me they’re going to try and keep it away from Reggie.

2:02:30pm…apparently not.

2:05pm….I know I’m not alone in this–those A Diamond is Forever, "I’d Marry you all over again" commercials make me wretch. 

Seriously….why are those on during football?  C’mon ABC.  Bring back Nicolette Sheridan in a towel before you resort to this drivel.

2:07pm….Tom Malone for Heisman!

2:10pm….those tricky Bruins!  Good for them….showing signs of life.

2:15pm….how about Dennis Haysbert’s career path?  From Pedro Cerrano to Mr. Baseball, to fame as the President on 24, to now

doing commercials that run primarily on sporting events.  Fascinating character arc.

2:25pm….well, I am so glad USC’s special teams could just make that Bruin look like Reggie Bush.  Time to step it up and earn that Heisman, Mr.

2:32pm….talk about a mess. Guess we’ll see if Pete Carroll can adjust
the special teams and get them turned around like he typically does for
the defense.

2:37pm….well, I guess Keith Jackson got his answer about how that clipping penalty affected the momentum of the game.  Yet another Reggie Bush

touchdown.

2:47pm….who is the joker behind the goal posts with the backpack
on? When will the Bruins figure it out (e.g. keeping dorks out of prime
camera sight lines)?

2:51pm….but at least UCLA had time to prepare for the game by
painting the scout team’s helmets in cardinal. Way to go, Bruins!

2:52pm…again, I’ll refer you to my earlier posts regarding homerism.  This is Trojans-Bruins–there are no holds barred.

2:54pm….looks like the Trojans caught a break.  Of course you know what that means–UCLA fans now officially have something new to bitch about for

the next calendar year.
