Just a brief note here — after reading the recaps, one guy who is definitely not getting enough credit for his role in Saturday’s 38-28 victory is fullback David Kirtman. When the Trojan offense couldn’t spread the ball and find openings to run through, Kirtman came up with some huge catches that bought LenDale White and Reggie Bush some room to run. Kirtman finished the day with seven catches for 97 yards, leading the Trojans in receiving on the day.
That sound you hear is teams across the country groaning “oh great, the Trojans found ANOTHER weapon…good for them.”
