Brought to us at today’s announcement of Pete Carroll’s contract extension:

We love what Pete is doing here. He does a great job of winning games and graduating players.
— Mike Garrett

Oh, you think Mike? Considering you were on the verge of being fired when Pete came in, somehow I figured you probably love what he’s doing. And while you’re at it, maybe you could replace “great” with something more appropriate, like “legendary, historybook-worthy, awesome”.

But we’re not getting caught up in semantics. We’re just glad Garrett’s doing what it takes to keep our favorite Mountain Dew enthusiast around for a few more years.

  1. Impossible for USC to threepeat. You have to have won that first one to have a chance at three. They have only one one in a row.

  2. Three AP National Championships is a 3Peat. Remember, USC was #1 in both polls the year LSU played OU, so the #1 team didnt play in the championship game. It was a split championship; neither LSU nor USC should be punished for sharing the title.

  3. notice all these comments are starting to sound like a broken record, ap reconizes USC, what’s you problem……….oh your team are losers!

  4. You are right, if by losers you mean the Back-to-Back National Champions Who Own College Football and Spank UCLA Yearly.
