On an epic sunny day in January, Stafon Johnson, a 5-star running back from Dorsey, chooses to remain in LA and become a Trojan.

“I just want to let everbody know The Prince is staying in California,” said Johnson during his announcement on ESPNnews.

Many assumed Stafon would for sure stay home to be close to family, but recent visits to Georgia gave some shadow of a doubt.

Californians will now be able to watch this great athelete on a grander stage.

And what a huge recruiting victory for USC. This puts Pete Carroll and company on the cusp of a third-straight national recruiting title.

  1. Another recruiting title assumes we ignore Tom Lemming…what a dum@ss…USC at #5 and Notre Dame up at #2.

Lemming needs to get up off his knees in front of Charlie Weis.

  2. With the Johnson (and Patterson) commitment, we jumped from #5 to #3 according to Scout.

I love this recruiting class because we are filling needs more than anything.

  3. I really Think Cj Gable and Stafon Johnson will be the New CJ Gable Bush and Stafon Johnson White running back of the Season. Cj is Fasinating on the Field with his Slashy Cut Back style. Also he’s very Powerful doesnt seem to want to go down. His Man focus is getting into the End Zone and Winning some Footballs Games. He’s the Go to back. Stafons Good i think he would play a good part in the Backfield as well like Lendale White.
