Feds arrest CEO of BetOnSports.com

Since TrojanWire is paid for in part by online NCAA Football betting, we feel this rant is topical.

The Feds arrested a high-profile CEO, David Caruthers, a British citizen, who runs a legitimate publicly-traded business in Britain (BetOnSports.com).

Online gambling does nothing to bring about the seediness that physical casinos do. It is not our government’s business to protect people from stupidity.

In fact, our government doesn’t, it is just entirely hypocritical. Look at state-run lotteries – just a huge tax on stupid people. (Not to say you are stupid if you ever have bought a lottery ticket, but c’mon, the probability does not exist. It’s science.)
