It turns out Vince Young’s $58 million deal is filled with not-likely-to-be-earned incentives that really put it in the neigboorhood of $48 million.

So the Saints essentially used the contracts of the #1 and #3 picks to make Reggie Bush an offer in between.

  • Mario Willliams 6-year, $54 million ($26.5 million guaranteed)
  • Reggie Bush 6-year, $51 milllion ($26.2 million guaranteed)
  • Vince Young 6-year, $48 million ($25.9 million guaranteed)

Bush took a flight out of Los Angeles to arrive at camp this morning.

    I really feel that Mario Williams contract is over rated…I strongly believe that the Texans are over-rating Mario Williams ability to support prove his contract in its rightful place…I believe that Mario Williams will not perform to the fans expectations…

    Reggie Bush should’ve went to Houston as the number 1 pick. They said Reggie’s contract would’ve been too high, but Mario’s is higher. Anyway, it doesn’t make sense but I can only say one thing.
    WHO DAT THINK THEY GON’ BEAT THE SAINTS w/ Reggie…
