Maxwell Punditry: Vote #7

adrian-peterson-180.jpgWe took last week off — sometimes you just have to indulge in a week away from the Punditry. So much Ballot Burn. But we’re back, with Maxwell Pundit Vote Number Seven. Rawk:

1.) Adrian Peterson (Oklahoma)
Yes, we know — he’s done for the season, his career as a Sooner virtually certain to have concluded last Saturday. Consider this one final tribute to one of the best college backs we’ve ever seen, a guy whose career we’re sad to see end early.

2.) Troy Smith (Ohio State)
Shocker, we know.

3.) Calvin Johnson (Georgia Tech)
Injuries to Manningham and Jarrett make him a virtual lock for the Biletnikoff and any other Top WR in the country honors.

cannon-leg-rose-mcgowan.jpg4.) Lamarr Woodley (Michigan)
He’s a monster. Pretty sure he’s one of the heavies in that awesome Death Proof trailer from Robert Rodriguez (featuring Rose McGowan with a cannon as a leg) — he is that badass. To be fair, the same could be said of the entire Michigan D-line, but Woodley’s going to be their representative for these purposes.

5.) Steve Slaton (West Virginia)
If only that damn Pat White would stop stealing all his TDs.

Considerable
Jonathan Stewart (Oregon)
Reggie Nelson (Florida)
Marshawn Lynch (Cal)
Garrett Wolfe (Northern Illinois)
James Laurinitis (Ohio State)
Rey Maualuga (USC)
Erik Ainge (Tennessee)
Kenny Irons (Auburn)
Mario Manningham (Michigan)
Dwayne Jarrett (USC)

  1. You are high! One of the best ever? What has he really done? Nothing.

Look at the number of college RB’s that statistically have done well only to amount to nothing in the NFL. Kijana-Carter, Curtis Enis, Maurice Clarett, Ron Dayne, to many to name. Best Ever?

Has Adrian Peterson missed more games than he played in college? Best Ever? Won’t last 4 seasons in the NFL.

    Pass the doochie.
