A Broken Leg Can’t Keep JoePa Down

In case you missed it, college football’s oldest living legend, Joe Paterno, had a bit of an accident on Saturday against Wisconsin, breaking his leg when an opponent’s helmet rammed his 79-year old knee.

Paterno had surgery on Monday to repair ligament damage and a broken tibia, and most impressively, plans to coach the Nittany Lions on Saturday against Temple.

Everyone here at TrojanWire wishes him a speedy recovery — we hope to see JoePa sprinting the sidelines, cheeks-clenched, in no time.

  1. I’m sorry, but JoPa is just a grumpy mean old man and doesn’t deserve all the respect he gets. He incessently bitches and whines at refs, has even ran them down after games and grabbed them forcefully from behind to complain – which would get any other coach fined. In this last game he meanly waves in the air screaming for an ABC camera crew to “get away” as he walked off the field at halftime (watch the end of the video related to the Wisc coach article). Jopa has no class, sorry about the knee Joe but karma got ya.
