The Bidwills Wooing Pete Carroll?

pete-carroll-football-god.jpgAnother one from the Pete Carroll Rumor Mill, and while we don’t put much stock in it, in the interest of comprehensive coverage and/or rumormongering, we thought we’d pass it along:

According to Steve Hartman of XTRA 570 AM Radio (Los Angeles) the Bidwills and the Cardinals organization have offered Pete Carroll $30 million to leave USC and coach the Cardinals next year.

Do we believe Pete Carroll would really think of leaving USC? Well at some point, another offer, retirement, or the hand of God are going to take Coach Carroll from the Trojans. After much counseling we’ve come to terms with that.

But do we really expect the one taking Carroll from us to be the Bidwill family and their Arizona Cardinals, widely recognized as the worst owners in the NFL, if not all of professional sports (especially now that Donald Sterling has cleaned up his act)?

As our friend the East End chimney sweep says, “not bloody likely, Gov’nor.”

  1. Yes, after the NCAA slaps sanctions on USC for letting sports agents pay Reggie Bush, Carroll will quietly slink away to the NFL.

He will eventually be remembered in the same vein as other infamous USC alumni, like OJ Simpson.

  2. wishful fuck’n thinking giligan!
