A blow to the ’07 recruiting class:

Former 2007 USC signee Leonard Washington was in action with Belmont Shores over the weekend. The powerful
forward said he is headed to Stoneridge Prep and is opening up his
recruitment.

Although the reason for the move is unclear, it is most likely due to academic reasons.  It’s unfortunate because he had a solid chance at seeing significant PT this season.  Having a tough forward down low would have helped us tremendously. 

On the bright side, we have momentum recruiting wise and the extra scholarship will likely go to a better player.  Whether that player will come in this Fall or next is unknown at this point.  I trust that Coach Floyd has this under control…
