It’s defense over offense, USC above CAL, for Monte Vista quarterback Drew McAllister. McAllister, one of the top quarterback prospects out of Northern California, is heading south to join the Trojan family – reports Brandon Huffman of Scout.com. The 3-star QB will play defense at USC, likely safety, after a strong performance at the position at camp.

“I committed to USC last night,” said McAllister…”I like where the program is heading, I like the way the coaches coach, the enthusiasm in everything they do. I like how they do everything down there.”

He later continued:

“It’s probably the best program in the country, there is nothing else like it. I don’t know how I can pass that up. It’s all around, one of the best schools you could go to. I wanted to play football at a place like that.”

Once raised by bears…McAllister will soon be hunting them down in cardinal and gold.
