The Terry Bradshaw Passway rolls east from Interstate 20, through a lush forest, between billboards for crawfish-boiling restaurants and easy-win casinos and beside palatial churches and tin-roof farmhouses that hang LSU flags from front porches. An exit spills onto a bumpy, two-lane country road to the childhood home of the Heisman hopeful quarterback on the nation’s top-ranked college football team. Off Broadacres Road sits the tiny Evangel Christian Academy, its goalposts and a hilltop crucifix stretching toward the heavens. That’s where the USC quarterback became a local legend… continue
