Stanford’s Ostrander Out Against USC

Stanford’s quarterback T.C. Ostrander is out before the game could ever begin. As reported by the Stanford Daily, Ostrander will miss this weekend’s match with the Trojans after suffering a seizure at a restaurant last Sunday. Ostrander was taken to Stanford hospital and released the same day as tests came back normal. He will sit out against USC as a precaution and undergo further tests Monday.

Relatively untested back-up Tavita Pritchard will have an initiation by fire, starting at the memorial coliseum where the USC defense ranks among the best in the nation. Pritchard, a sophomore, has only completed a single pass for 10 yards. Expect Stanford to rely heavily on the run, an offensive strategy that has been successful in the Cardinal’s first few games.

  1. Of Course he’s having seizures. Stanford leads the Pac-10 in sacks allowed at fifteen, with a season high 7 coming from Arizona State just last week.

Just watching the USC film, and thinking about the sacks he was going to get hit with this weekend probably caused the seizure.

But in all seriousness…hope T.C. gets well soon
