some cool eastsider named jillian posted something yesterday about planning a dinner at this restaurant. just so happens i live a stone’s throw from it, and i go out to eat pretty often, but it never even once crossed my mind that i should eat there.
why? because it’s in the world’s possibly tackiest strip mall (built within the last year, mind you, so intentionally so) in between a dry cleaner and a convenience mart. and it’s called AROMA.
i guess ‘aroma’ can mean ‘fragrance, essence, bouquet’, but in this context, nestled in its late-80s retro colorschemed stucco paradise on Sunset, i’ve always taken it to mean ‘stink’.
but i’m up for a new experience, jillian, so assuming you’ve been there before, how is it? for the price, i mean?
