Winning the Hearts and Minds

USC has won the national title of SI.com’s mock playoff system. USC beat Hawaii in the round of 16, LSU in the quarter finals, Florida in the semi-finals and Oklahoma in the national title match-up to win the plausible playoff system. Of course, USC will have no real chance to win the national title this year, as they’re playing Illinois for the Rose Bowl New Year’s day.

Despite the overwhelming call to switch from the BCS to a playoff system, the BCS looks as if it will be here to stay, at least for the foreseeable future. The massive amounts of money accumulated from the current bowl games and a lack of clear guidelines to define the proposed playoff system makes the current BCS resistant to change.

  1. I just won 30 billion dollars in the my “Ultimate Dream Mock Fantasy Lottery”.

I used a series of mathematical formulas and a combination of luck percentages and divided it by my desire to be rich and deduced that I deserve to be a billionaire. Unfortunately, the validity and accuracy of my winning status is about as accurate as SI’s mock playoff.

    congratulations to me!!!

  2. And you’re sucking my Trojan Balls in my imagniary world, Colonialhead. Thanks for validating the Trojan Greatness by taking the time to post your thoughts on it.

  3. Yes…I agree. After a season full of lackluster performances and then a single solid performance against ASU and another mediocre performance against
UCLA (for god’s sake Notre Dame beat them!) USC has truly proven herself worthy.

Of all the media darling asshat crap…this is why Sports Illustrated is bar none the most ridiculous source of college football information on the planet.

  4. Hilarious! I’m tired of all the hipocracy by these sports writers. If USC won a mock playoff for SI, and made it to the championship game for ESPN, why in the @!*& didn’t these writers vote USC higher in the rankings than LSU! This is just their way of saying,”We know USC is good, but we have to go with the flow”. Great JOB losers!

  5. Oh, I am so glad to see that SC did not have to play Stanford in the mock playoff.
