Could someone explain to me how USC does not ALREADY have the Rose Bowl locked up?
The PAC10 decides 3 way ties with no head to head advantage the same way as the Big12 – team highest in BCS standings wins the tiebreaker. Thus, even if USC were to lose to UCLA (which won’t happen, but assume it does), they still go to the RoseBowl, because there would be a 3 way tie between OU, OSU and USC. Since even a loss to USC won’t drop the Trojans down to #20 (or whereever Oregon winds up in the BCS), USC still goes to the Rose Bowl.
