The Lakers may have won the game, but Wizard’s Nick Young was the star. The guard out of USC made his case as one of the NBA’s top rookies, scoring a career-high 27 points in the overtime loss to the L.A. Lakers. Young shot 10-16, including 3-4 on three-pointers to out-score his high school idol, Kobe Bryant, by 1 point. As quoted on the Washington post:

When reminded that he actually outscored his hero, Bryant, Young broke into a huge smile.

“Really?” Young said. “Wow. That’s something special. He’s a great player and he showed it again tonight.”

With this return home, Young came back from a multiple game slump, after playing only minimally in the last few games due to a thigh-injury.

  1. How can he be an illegitimate father?
