USC, The #1 NFL Factory

The countdown to the NFL draft has begun. With the draft only now days away and a projected six Trojans going in the first two rounds (Ellis, Rivers, Davis, Baker, Jackson and Rachal), including two (Ellis & Rivers) set to go in the top 10 or 15, it’s clear that USC has made its claim for producing the best draft classes in the collegiate field. But are the Trojans #1? Are they the best NFL Factory out there? One network seems to think so, and guess who it is…I’ll give you a little hint:

It’s owned by the NFL.

  1. The best summary of athe NFL draft story I have ever seen. CLearly the boys at teh NFL know what they’re talking about. USC simply has a galaxy of stars coming out of that storied programme. USC is football!

  2. Galaxy of stars? Well, I still waiting for one question to be answered. Why hasn’t a qb from sc won a super bowl?

  3. So the success of a program is measured by one position player having won a super bowl game? SC was not a quarterback school until recently. A QB has not won a super bowl. However, we sure have a lot of LBs, OL, DL, RB, etc. who have won a hefty sack of super bowl rings.

And as an aside, your observation is technically incorrect. Matt Cassel owns more than one Super Bowl ring (granted he did not play), and he qualifies as a quarterback from SC.

USC has had more 1st Round NFL Draft picks (67) than any other team. One hundred and sixty two (162) Trojans have been selected to the NFL Pro Bowl, overshadowing Notre Dame’s 135. Moreover, a Trojan has played in all but two Super Bowls.

  4. what super bowls did trojans not play in?
