Is Carroll’s record divine power or devil worship? Image parodied from blogspot

Mad success breeds animosity. There’s the haves and the have-nots, and the have-nots seem to find every excuse to hate the guys on top. Want an example? Well lucky for us, college football can be readily compared to any topic on earth. Take nation-states for instance: the United States of America (USC), the pinnacle of world success for the last 300 years, is hated on for its mad-skills by pretty much every nation on earth (NCAA division I)…especially France (UCLA). Compris?

BabyTate, columnist for the Bleacher Report released The 10 Most Disliked Programs of the Past 25 Years. The list includes the team, head-coach, time span and record. Follow the jump to see which teams & coaches topped the charts by breaking their competitors’ drunken-fan hearts.

Adding even more credence to the magnitude of the USC-Ohio State match up. Topping the list are:

1) Miami Hurricanes, Jimmy Johnson, 1985-1988, 44-4
2) Southern Cal, Pete Carroll, 2003-2005, 37-2
3) Ohio State, Jim Tressel, 2002-2007, 66011

4) Florida State, Bobby Bowden, 1987-2000, 152-19

Only including Carroll’s record through 2005 is a bit of a rip off, but hey…The rest of the list can be found here.

  1. If we win the Crystal this year it should cement us firmly at the #1 spot!!

    I love to be hated.

    Fight On!
