Kobe vs Mayo, 1-on-1

Beijing bound Kobe Bryant got in a little one-on-one friendly fire with soon to be Memphis Grizzly OJ Mayo. The two played a mano-a-mano match last week in Las Vegas. According to an LA Times article, Kobe had nothing but praise for the former Trojan:

“I think the world of [Mayo],” Bryant said. “I think he’s extremely talented. I think he has a great overall game that a lot of young players don’t have in terms of skills. He can handle, he can shoot, he can pass, he’s fast, he’s quick, so that’s the whole package.”

High praise from the ’07-’08 MVP. And if you’re wondering who won… he’s not the MVP for nothing.
