(Bruin?) pranksters found a way around the cocoon of duct tape that typically enshrouds Tommy Trojan during the week leading up to the USC-UCLA football game…attack the statue three weeks early. Check out this live clean-up shot we pulled off of Tommy Cam. Now we don’t prescribe retribution, but all we’re saying is accidents happen…

  1. Yo dat bruin bear be dead

  2. In 1958 they got Tommy pretty bad. We retaliated by printing our own version of the Daily Bruin and swapped ours for theirs 5 min after each pile of the ligit paper was dropped of in Westwood. It took some bucks and about 25 volunteers all wearing mock blue Daily Bruin T shirts.

  3. Mortimer, you are a saint! Fight on

  4. UCLA fans like ‘blue’ very much? I wonder if they all like their vehicles partly in the same hue. Hmmm? So be it.
