Junior Seau has over 1,500 career tackles in the NFL. With 18 career interceptions, he’s probably been on the receiving end of a few hits, too.
But for the first time, he was tackled by a fan. On the sideline.
Seau never expected to play this year, but came out of retirement because the New England Patriots lost a number of linebackers to injury. Not only has he been in the last three games, he led the team with seven tackles on Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals.
He also leads the league this season in being taken down by a random dude in a beanie.
The fan is facing criminal charges, though maybe New England should sign him to the practice squad. Actually, if the NFL really wants to make an example of this poor behavior, they should stick him in Detroit’s starting lineup.
