Rey Maualuga ruled college football, from the first moment he set foot on the field through his four years as a Trojan. But everyone knew he had something special saved up for his final year.

And he wouldn’t disappoint.

He started the year off with a bang, embarrassing Virginia and returning an interception for a touchdown in the domination of Ohio State.

He made time before a road game to wish a 5-year old girl happy birthday.

He was named the best defensive player in college football and led the Trojans to their third Rose Bowl victory in three seasons.

And for his final act in cardinal and gold, he danced with ESPN sideline vixen Erin Andrews:
